Grandmaster Bow Sim Mark is widely regarded as one of the most influential martial artists of the twentieth century. A pioneering educator, author, performer, and cultural ambassador, she helped establish traditional Chinese Wushu and Tai Chi in the United States as integrated systems of martial discipline, health, artistic expression, and cultural education.

In 1976, she founded the Chinese Wushu Research Institute in Boston—the first formal Chinese Wushu school in the West. Through decades of teaching, performances, publications, and educational leadership, Bow Sim Mark has inspired generations of students and helped shape the global appreciation of Chinese martial arts.

Today, her legacy continues through the Bow Sim Mark Tai Chi Arts Association, the Bow Sim Mark Archive, and ongoing initiatives dedicated to preserving, sharing, and advancing her life's work for future generations.
